# What's the difference between a Genesis Character NFT and a normal one?

Genesis characters have the same benefits as a Character NFT but they act as a lifetime battle pass instead of the 60-day limit that normal Character NFTs have. They're not soulbound so they can be transferred or sold on marketplaces.\

On top of a lifetime battle pass you'll also receive these perks:

* 8 free equipment NFT passes.
* Early game access starting in July.
* Join the Stake & Rescue game in July.
* Participate in a monthly prize pool for top scoring players.
